These classes are geared for beginners who have never sat behind a torch and worked with glass before. Beginner level glass classes will cover not only how to create the specified glass object, but also cover safety, basic torch function, and proper flame settings.
Our Lampworking instructor is John Ryszka II. John has been working with glass full time since 2003. He started out in the sign industry as a neon sign tube bender. In 2010 he left the sign industry and became a full time glass artist. He has now won numerous awards and live competitions, writes for glass trade journals and has authored a book of his own. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of glass working and teaches regularly at both Water Street Glass Works and here at The Rising Phoenix Gallery.
