Looking to the Light is a group exhibition developed through an open call for artists. While specific thematic and curatorial details will be announced closer to the exhibition date, the show is intended to close the year with a sense of reflection, hope, and forward-looking energy.
Featuring work from a wide range of participating artists, this exhibition highlights the Rising Phoenix Gallery’s commitment to inclusivity, community engagement, and showcasing diverse creative perspectives. As a culminating exhibition spanning the holiday season and the turn of the new year, Looking to the Light invites visitors to pause, reflect, and engage with artwork that points toward possibility and renewal.
Opening Reception Details
The public is warmly invited to attend the Opening Reception for Looking to the Light on Friday, November 7, from 5–7 PM. This free, all-ages evening celebrates the opening of the gallery’s final exhibition of the year and offers guests an opportunity to experience a diverse range of artistic voices brought together through an open call.

Thank you for your interest in participating in Looking to the Light, our end-of-year group exhibition at The Rising Phoenix Gallery. This exhibition invites artists to explore themes of hope, renewal, illumination, and resilience as we move toward the close of the year.
Please complete the form below to be considered. We are grateful for the time, care, and creativity you bring to your work and truly appreciate your submission.
Installation & Display Requirements
All submitted artwork must be exhibition-ready at the time of delivery.
2D artwork (including paintings, photography, prints, and mixed media) must:
- Be securely wired and ready to hang
- Use proper hanging wire only
- Sawtooth brackets will not be accepted
Artists are responsible for ensuring that all hardware is professionally installed and suitable for gallery display. Work that is not ready to hang may be declined at drop-off.

By submitting work, artists confirm their availability for both drop-off and pick-up within these windows.
Sales & Commission Policy
- Artwork may be listed for sale at the artist’s discretion
- The Rising Phoenix Gallery operates on a 60% / 40% commission split
- 60% to the artist
- 40% retained by the gallery
- Commission is only applied if the gallery successfully facilitates a sale on the artist’s behalf
- No commission is taken on unsold work
