n., descendants, offspring.
This body of work was discovered through pure improvisation, poetic abstractions based on a pair of recent paintings. This pair, oil on oak panel, are themselves two generations removed from observational paintings done ‘en plein air’. The thirteen new paintings were created with acrylic and colored pencil. While they share some DNA with their great grandparents, they are free spirits in both subject and style.
The artist's reception will be held on Friday, July 5th from 5 pm - 8 pm.
This event is a fun way to celebrate the opening of the new exhibit. It is also a great way to for the public to meet the artist's and learn about the artist's creative process and methods.
The event is open to the public and free to attend.
