Things All Good Students Should Know

What to wear to class.

For your safety in the glass studio, we require all students to wear  clothing made of cotton and closed-toed shoes. Cotton clothing is less likely to catch fire compared to synthetic fabrics, and closed-toed shoes will protect your feet from any accidental drops of hot glass or tools. Following these guidelines ensures a safe and enjoyable experience while you focus on creating your glass art!

Stay Hydrated!

Lampworking is an exciting and hands-on experience, but it can get hot at the torch! To keep comfortable and focused, we highly recommend bringing a bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout your class. Staying refreshed helps you get the most out of your creative session—so don’t forget to drink up!

How old do I need to be?

Our classes are open to students ages 12 and up, with no prior experience required. For students ages 15 and under, an adult must accompany them during the class unless other arrangements have been made in advance. This policy ensures a safe and supportive environment for all participants to enjoy the creative process and get the most out of their glass art experience!
